⚙️ Required Mods — Competitive Setup Guide
To ensure fair and competitive matches across the league, we use a standardized mod setup inspired by the competitive Civ scene.
These mods are designed to reduce randomness, improve balance, and create a more skill-based environment.
Core Mods (Required):
- Better Balanced Game (BBG) — rebalances civilizations and mechanics
- Better Balanced Maps (BBM) — ensures fair and consistent starting positions
- Multiplayer Helper (MPH) — enables draft systems and competitive features
These three mods form the foundation of competitive Civilization VI and are required for all official league matches.
Optional Quality-of-Life Mods:
- Extended Policy Cards
- Better Report Screen
- Top Panel Extension Pro
These do not affect gameplay and are optional, but recommended for a better experience.
Why Mods?
Vanilla Civilization VI was not designed for competitive multiplayer. These mods help create a more balanced, consistent, and skill-driven environment.
If you’re serious about improving and competing, this is the standard.
Setup instructions and links are available in the Discord.
Make sure your game is ready before your first match.
